Vodka Drinks You Can Make at Home

2011
07.13

There is no special formula for making drinks. While bartenders at your favorite watering hole always make it look effortless, there are plenty of drinks that you can make from home that look just as good. You don’t need to spend a fortune at the liquor store or get any special training to make a drink. You just need the right ingredients, a good looking glass and a few tricks for garnishing the glass. Your Vodka drinks will never taste so good.

Check out your bar and take a good look at what kind of glasses you are using. Are they even made of glass? If you’ve got plastic cups, ditch them. Get some nice glasses. Now add some ice and a shot of vodka to the glass. Add in a little fruit juice, preferably orange. Now add a dash of grenadine for some extra color. Get some little plastic swords and skewer a cherry. Voila! Great vodka drinks for everyone.

Learn About the Grape

There was a time, perhaps thirty or forty years ago, when people who drank wine were considered to be only those from the upper classes. This is now no longer the case, and wines from around the world are now available for everyone to buy and drink. Some people like to take their love of the grape further, and so a course wine tasting in london might be a good idea.

Here, you would learn a little about the wine making process, and about the different sorts of wine. Some knowledge about grapes would also be included, and other information such as the best way to store wine over longer periods of time.

Of course, there is wine to be tasted as well, and one learns the best way to appreciate a white, rose or red, and to tell the difference between a good wine and a bad one. Courses can either be a half day or longer, and are fun and educational.
